Filip Cieszyński – born in Gniew; conductor, organist, composer. He is a graduate of the choral conducting in the class of dr hab. Anna Wilczewska (2019) and the organ class of prof. Roman Perucki and dr hab. Hanna Dys (2020) at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He has participated in many courses in conducting as well as improvisation and interpretation of organ music. For many years he was an organist in many parishes of the Archdiocese of Gdańsk, incl. the parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary in Gdańsk (2015-2021), where he led the Parish Liturgical Choir, with which he won, among others 1st place in the category of ‘Choirs and Vocal Groups’ at the 12th Pomeranian Lenten Song Festival in Kielno. In July 2017, he took part in the international project World Youth Choir. Winner
of the 1st (2018) and 2nd (2020) awards in the composers’ competition for a Passion Song in Kashubian. He collaborates with the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Cappella Gedanensis, and presents the great organ in the Gdańsk-Oliwa Cathedral. Since 2020, he works as an assistant conductor and accompanist in the Academic Choir of the University of Gdańsk.
