Yuichiro Shiina

He graduated from Music Department of Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music with a degree in organ Performance. He followed the master course of Graduate School of same university and received Master’s Degree of Music in 2002.  In 1997, he won the second Prize in the First Dallas international Organ Competition. In 2000, he won the Third Prize in 12. International Bach-Wettbewerb in Leipzig. Then he won the First Prize in NDR Musikpreis 2002-Internationaler Orgel-Wettbewerb. From October 1999 to May 2001 he had studied at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, being awarded scholarships both from Austrian Government and Rohm Music Foundation. In Vienna he studied organ under Prof. M.Radulescu. He graduated from Organ Department of university at the most excellent achievement approved with one consent. During October 2001 and September 2003 he studied organ and harpsichord under Dr. J.-C. Zehnder in Schola Cantrum Basiliensis in Switzerland. He is now giving frequent concerts in Japan and oversea countries, Germany, Switzerland, and USA etc. He is a Professor at Kwassui Women’s University and a lecturer at Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. He is also an Organist of kichijoji Church of United Church of Christ in Japan.
