Agata Wiśniewska-Gołębiowska (the artist name Aga Winska) born in Warsaw (Poland), has graduated from the Fr. Chopin Music Academy in her native city. She made her debut in the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “Magic Flute” at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. She won the Queen Elisabeth International Singing Competition in Brussels (1988) followed by the first prize for operetta in the Gascogne International Singing Competition in France (1999). She appears on the principal European stages: in Vienna, Stockholm, Brussels, Paris, Antwerp as well as in Polish theatres in Szczecin, Cracow and Warsaw. She sings at many European music festivals as well as in renowned concert halls in Europe, USA, Canada, Japan and China working with many famous conductors. She has featured in numerous broadcasts and recordings for radio and television in many countries and made CDs and film recordings. She teaches singing at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.
